Credit & Refund Policy

Last Updated: September 13, 2026

1. Real-Time Balance Protection

Fusion Lab operates on an atomic double-entry ledger system. When you request a media generation, your credit balance is not blindly deducted. Instead:

  • Price Locking: The exact credit cost is locked at quote creation with zero hidden surcharges or post-generation rate adjustments.
  • Hold Isolation: Necessary credits are placed in a transient hold. Your remaining balance remains immediately available for other studio operations.
  • Settlement on Success: Held credits are permanently settled only after the upstream model provider accepts and confirms successful media dispatch.

2. Automated Instant Refunds

If a model provider rejects a request due to temporary provider downtime, upstream capacity constraints, content safety filters, or invalid generation parameters, our system automatically and immediately voids the hold and restores your credit balance within seconds.

3. Ambiguous Outcomes & Reconciliation Queue

In the rare event of a network interruption between our edge dispatchers and the model provider where upstream execution status is unknown:

  • The task enters our durable Reconciliation Queue with exponential backoff probing.
  • If the provider confirms the generation never commenced or failed upstream, the credit hold is released automatically.
  • If the provider completed the task, the media output is delivered directly to your project gallery without requiring an additional generation charge.

4. Replay-Safe Ledger Guarantee

Every dispatch carries a cryptographically unique, client-seeded operationId. In case of browser disconnects, tab reloads, or automated retries, the ledger guarantees you will never be charged twice for the same operation.

5. Subscriptions & Billing Inquiries

Credit purchases and subscription plan tiers are activated immediately upon payment verification. If you experience an unexpected deduction or generation anomaly, navigate to your project settings, locate your Operation ID or Job ID, and open a ticket via our Support Center.
